B Grade Draw Round 10 of the winter competition saw Rollers and Blaze draw 8 all. Scott Osborne sank the only basket for Rollers in the first half with Louis Billet, Jaime Smih and rookie Emma Colless all scoring for the Blaze. Blaze Players Join Rollerblaze Training Gold Coast Blaze players, Anthony Petrie and Benett Davison came along to Rollerblaze training this morning and despite some significant "stinging" in the arms and blisters on the hands, enjoyed the time they spent learning drills and playing a game alongside Rollerblaze players. 1029ers Second Loss of the Season Round 9 of the winter comp saw competition leaders 1029ers beaten for only the second time by a stronger Wicked team (44-22). In the B grade comp the Rollers have won the last two games and this week won by 6 points (20-14). Masters Games - Register Your Team Now!! More than 10,000 mature-aged athletes from around the world will descend on the Gold Coast for the Pan Pacific Masters Games from 6-14 November. The Pan Pacific Masters Games are held every two years and involve athletes from 20 countries and from all over Australia competing in 34 sports which, this year, includes wheelchair basketball and AFL for the first time. more -->
Gold Coast Rollers Beat Blaze 24-12 Brothers Phil and Rob Bailey arrived at basketball on Thursday night determined to win - resulting in Phil scoring 14 points for the Rollers and Rob playing great defence for a 24-12 win over the Blaze. Gary Overliese captain of the Rollers (pictured) scored 4 points and Scott Osborne contributed 2 points. It was a welcome win for the Rollers who have struggled over the last couple of games. more -->
