Message from Executive Officer

We are now getting to the pointy end of the season with the last few round games to be played before finals.  Please remember the Challenge season finals format is top 2 teams in Finals for 1st and 2nd and teams in 3rd and 4th play off - there are no semi finals (except for U14 Div 2 Boys and U16 Div 2 Boys where the top 2 teams in each pool will play a cross over to determine finalists). We are also gearing up for the renovations which will take place over June and July - there will be alot of changes and the courts and surrounds will be looking alot better for the Championship season.  Championship season registrations will be opening soon so please keep your eye out for a renewal registration in your email.  Good luck to all teams in the last few weeks of games as the ladders are increasingly close.

On Saturday 10 June 2017 there will be a number of large events occurring within the Marrara Sporting Complex. The NRL will be hosting Round 14 - Parramatta Eels v NQ Cowboys at TIO Stadium and Athletics NT will be hosting the Australian Masters Championships at Arafura Stadium.

After discussions with local sporting organisations in and around the Marrara Sporting Complex it is evident that there are also a number of local competitions and championships occurring that weekend.

Due to the NRL game that will be held at TIO Stadium there will be a number of traffic management processes in place on this day. The main process to note is that from 2pm on Saturday 10 June Abala Road will become one way traffic only. All traffic will be required to travel clock wise.

A large crowd is expected for the NRL match and whilst all measures possible are being taken to try and minimise traffic congestion there is expected to be a large increase in traffic in the area.

Please be patient and adhere to all instructions from NT Police and traffic controllers.

Please see information below regarding public transport and parking.

The Under 10 girls finals will be played on Saturday 10th June with all teams still playing.
Grand Final will be team 1 v 2, Teams 3 v 4, then teams 5 v 6 and 7 v 8.
The games have been moved as a significant number of children are unavailable on the 17th.  Whilst this is not the best scenario, we do try and be flexible when it affects more than one team in a division.
The teams will be notified of their final placings after Saturday 3rd June.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
